Oh man, talk about an unexpected surprise. I got a call from Evelyn, who coordinates UTC’s ITLP program, and she just verbally accepted me into the program! This is my dream job, I’ve wanted it since I started working at UTC.

It essentially is three nine-month rotations across several of the UTC Business Units like UTC Power, Carrier, Sikorsky, Pratt and Whitney, etc. It also is a feeding pool from which the future IT leaders/managers of UTC come from.

I am so excited but also in such a whirlwind. I haven’t even told many people because I’m still processing it. It’s been such a goal that I put a lot of energy and focus toward, this huge weight is off my shoulders and I don’t even know where to go from here. My guess is graduate with a diploma. Haha.

I’m especially happy that this job is secure and pays well enough that I have income to pay off my college loans, start a new life, even help support my family. It means the world, I don’t think there are many people who wanted this job as much as I did.

Anywho, more details to come, I’m sure.
