Life is hectic…

What else is new, there’s a lot going on in my life. Just wanted to discriminately vent.

Well, next Monday I move back to my last year in BU. There are mixed feelings. But for the first time, this is the LAST thing on my list.

Friday is my last day of my internship. After four summers, the journey is over, and I officially have no job next summer…for the time being. Fortunately, I got called back to second round interviews for the IT Leadership Program at UTC. That interview is also on Friday. I’m interviewing with the coordinator of the program and the CIO of Carrier. I am hella nervous. After that, I get no word until October. How cruel is that? Apparently, I’m one of seven that moved on since first round, and there are 6-8 positions. The wildcard is the amount of external applicants they’ll hire, which they’re in the process of interviewing now. Without that, it seems like I’m a shoe-in, but the last thing I need is to get cocky when I’m interviewing for CIO’s.

I try to stay humble and say that most people don’t even get an offer in October of their senior year. It is so cool to know I’ll have something by then, but still, how DO people survive senior year not knowing what will happen upon graduation?? I can’t even take the pressure right now. A career is so important to me.

Also, I’m leaving behind some very good intern and INROADS friends. We’re such a huge group, there’s no way I can keep in contact with everyone. They all go to school elsewhere, some are still interns, the rest are graduating and moving on up. I don’t know when I’ll ever see these people again, and they’ve helped and supported me so much. I’ll never have friends like them and I wish them all the success. Hopefully, I’ll see them at the top and I can join them.
